Philosophy

St. Joan of Arc Catholic School is an integral part of the St. Joan of Arc Parish family.  The mission of the Catholic school’s educators (clergy, administrative staff, faculty, and parents) is that of the apostles in creating a cooperative atmosphere based on the Good News of salvation and the command of Jesus to love and serve one another.  The school provides a comprehensive program of education so that each student may develop to his/her full potential as an image of God, as a member of the student body, and as a member of the body of Christ

What We Believe

1. Students learn to become good Catholic Christians in an environment in which the Good News of Jesus Christ is proclaimed through the values taught and lived in the school community.

2. Students develop to their full potential when they are given a comprehensive program of education which provides opportunities for spiritual, academic, social, emotional, and physical growth.

3. All students in our school need to have an equal opportunity to learn in a safe and comfortable environment.

4. St. Joan of Arc Catholic School’s commitment to continuous improvement is imperative if our students are to become confident, lifelong learners.

5. Teachers, administrators, and parents share the responsibility for helping students to learn in a meaningful way.

6. Students learn best when they are provided with a wide variety of instructional approaches and are actively engaged in the learning process.

7. Students learn responsibility, self-discipline, self-improvement, and decision-making skills in an environment where these qualities are modeled and encouraged.
